From Baton Rouge:
Take Hwy 190 West, (Go ~ 19 miles from the Mississippi River Bridge). Exit LA-1 North (New Roads, Marksville Exit). Continue North on LA-1 for ~ 5.7 miles.  It’s a yellow house. There’s a sign on the house that says “Fishful Thinking.”    Address: 6858 False River Road, Oscar, LA 70762

From Marksville:
Take LA-1 South through New Roads. From the intersection at LA-1 (Hospital Rd and False River Dr), turn right and continue South on LA-1. After several miles you will come to an intersection where Parlange Lane (LA-78) intersects with LA-1. (Do not turn.) From this intersection/traffic light, we are exactly 2.5 miles on the left. From Opelousas:
Take Hwy 190 East, (Go ~ 38 miles from I-49). Exit LA-1 North (New Roads, Marksville Exit). Continue North on LA-1 for ~ 5.7 miles.  It’s a yellow house. There’s a sign on the house that says “Fishful Thinking.” Address: 6858 False River Road, Oscar, LA 70762

From Lafayette:
(Option A – Through Livonia)
Take I-10 toward Baton Rouge (From I-49 intersection it is 36.4 miles)
Take ramp toward LA-3000 – go 0.4 mi
Turn Right on LA-3000 exit- EXIT 135- toward RAMAH / MARINGOUIN. – go 1.2 mi
Continue on LA-76 (LA-3000 N becomes LA-76) – go 5.8 mi
Continue on LA-77 (LA-76 becomes LA-77) – go 5.1 mi
Turn Right on US-190 (East) – go 0.1 mi to next traffic light
Quick Left on LA HIGHWAY 78 [LA-78] – go 3.1 mi. This ends at a bridge over a bayou.
Turn Left to follow LA-78 – go 4.5 mi. This ends at False River. There is a Cracker Barrel on the Right.
Turn Right on FALSE RIVER RD [LA-1] – go 1.3 mi
Arrive at 6858 FALSE RIVER RD, OSCAR, on the Left. Our cottage has a sign in the front of the house that says “Fishful Thinking Vacation Cottage”

From Lafayette: (Option B – ~5 miles longer, but much easier to find if unfamiliar with the area.)

Bonaventure’s Boat Launch will be on your Right. We are 5 houses after Bonaventure’s (also on the Right). Look for the Fishful Thinking sign.
